What is grit, and how can you use it to accelerate your career as you set your sights on 2024? We’re going to tell you how four little letters could lead to your success and cement your status as a high-level real estate admin.
G – Guts
People with grit have courage, determination, and a certain toughness of character. Some might refer to them as “bold,” or “plucky.” In reality, to have grit means to have guts. As a real estate assistant, you need to have the guts to both speak your mind and advocate for yourself – sometimes at the same time. You also might discover that when you move forward with courage, you are given more opportunities for education and advancement.
Now, we’re not saying that you should take unnecessary risks or make decisions without thinking them through, but moving outside your comfort zone will put you on the fast-track to achieving growth.
Be gutsy. You never know where it might take you.
R – Resiliency
You know the phrase, “fall down seven times, stand up eight?” This ideology – or this form of resiliency – is really at the core of what it means to have grit. Throughout your career, you’ll experience highs, lows, and everything in between. When you call upon your resilience to get you through the tough times, you’ll bounce back quicker without getting discouraged.

I – Intensity
Are you known for your laser focus and determination? Maybe people have called you “fierce,” or remarked on your noticeable passion for your job, your friendships, or your hobbies? Intensity – although sometimes misconstrued as a bad thing – can be a secret weapon for anyone working in real estate. By drawing on your abundant enthusiasm, you can ensure that you always approach your career with a purpose and drive, rather than feeling unstable or unsure.
And who knows – your passion for your role as a real estate admin could serve as a source of inspiration for other members of your team, too!
When used improperly, intensity can also have the opposite effect. For example, if you become overly focused on one task when your role dictates that you juggle multiple tasks, it’s only only a matter of time before you start to slip up. If you were born with a little extra inner fire, learning to harness your intensity is just as important as letting it loose.
T- Tenacity
There’s nothing more admirable than someone who makes a commitment and follows through. When you have tenacity, you demonstrate that you’re able to make things happen – even when you’re faced with unexpected challenges. You approach each goal with persistence, take accountability, and never blame others for negative or unwanted outcomes.
It’s often said that success is the sum of small efforts, day in and day out. At Kammbium, we believe tenacity is one of the key elements to making your career in real estate soar.
So, what do you think? Do you have grit? If so – great! We can’t wait to watch your career blossom. If not, don’t worry – grit can be cultivated too. Click here to check out some of our proven programs for real estate assistants. We’re here to help you grow.
